Roberto Monreal Bass Guitar Roberto’s multi-cultural background, raised in Spain and the USA, has influenced his receptiveness to all musical styles. He began playing bass 10 years ago, first performing in the Cleveland area where he eventually found notable regional success with Cincinnati based jam band ‘Ray’s Music Exchange’ who would share the stage with The Average White Band and Stanley Jordan. They won the 1997 Kool Band-to- Band Kombatã and performed at the 1998 W.O.M.A.D. Festival. He moved to Colorado five years ago and has become an in demand player for a variety of Rock, Folk, Pop, Blues and Jazz projects, including Ace Butler and the Aces. He is currently studying Double Bass with local legend Paul Warburton. –Skywave- is his first "true" Latin Jazz project.
