Chuck Smith

Chuck is another musician blessed to be raised in a musical family. His paternal
grandfather was a songwriter and several family relatives are musical performers
and educators. He began playing piano at 5 years old, studying Classical Piano at
the age of 9, and performing professionally at age of 13 in a variety of Rock
Bands, Blues Bands, Standards groups, and Jazz ensembles.
His academic record includes study in Classical and Jazz theory, electronic
composition as well as Minoring in Music at Temple University.
During the 70’s he worked with the Drifters several times, and did the musical
arrangements for their backup band. He has played keyboards for many well-
known Denver bands in the last 10 years including Vintage, Hot Flash, the Pro
Entertainment organization, and the Teresa Lynne band.
