Bruce Crisman
Drums
A Colorado native, Bruce has been playing around Denver for over
twenty-five years. Attending Drummers Collective in Manhattan in
1993, Bruce studied with such top name professionals as: Bobby
Sanabria, Deduca DeFonseca, Kim Planefield, and Ricky Sebastian.
From these masters Bruce gained a firm understanding of the Latin
and Afro-Cuban rhythms that drive the music of –Skywave-.
For many years Bruce was the bandleader of his own group the
Crisman Quintet. Other groups Bruce has worked with include: the
Good Vibes Quartet, Uversa, Windowpane, The Summit Jazz
Consort, and Eohippus. During his career Bruce has performed with:
Harry “Sweets” Edison, Don Byron and Rudresh Mahanthipa. Bruce
provides a solid rhythmic foundation that is energetic, intricate and
exciting.
